Thyroid is a small gland found at the front part of the neck below the Adam’s apple. This gland produces two main thyroid hormones called triiodothyronine (T3) and also thyroxine (T4). The thyroid gland removes iodine from the blood which comes mostly from your food and it uses that iodine in releasing thyroid hormones.
A thyroid that is working healthy will produce right amount of hormones needed by your body for metabolisim. Thyroid hormone is significant at a cellular level as it affect nearly every type of tissue in the body. Diseases are caused when thyroid produce too much hormones or too little hormones.

The main functions of the thyroid gland are:

2. It helps in keeping the skin and hair in good condition.
3. It maintains the general endocrine balance of the body.

Hyperthyrodisim is a condition in which thyroid gland produces excessive amount of thyroid hormones that is circulated in the blood. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism are-

Hypothyrodisim
Hypothyrodisim is a condition in which thyroid gland does not make enough thyroid hormones. Symptoms of hypothyrodisim are-
