Fluorescein Angiography
Fluorescein Angiography- A method of taking a picture of the flow of blood in the vessels of the eye by tracing the progress of an injected dye.
Fluoride- a mineral that helps protect teeth against decay
Folic acid
Folic acid- a vitamin essential to the production of red blood cells; plays an important role in the growth a developing fetus
Follicle stimulating hormone
Follicle stimulating hormone- a hormone produced by the pituitary gland in the brain that stimulates the testicles to produce sperm in males and causes eggs to mature in females
Folliculitis- the inflammation of hair follicles due to a bacterial infection, causing boils or tiny blisters containing pus
Fructose- A simple sugar present in fruits.
Fundus of the Eye
Fundus of the Eye- The back or deep part of the eye, including the retina.
Funduscopy- A test to look at the back area of the eye to see it there is any damage to the vessels that bring blood to the retina. The doctor uses a device, called ophthalmoscope, to check the eye.
